Cynthia J. McCorkindale (Independent) for First Selectman:
A longtime Bethel resident, Cynthia currently sits on the Board of Finance, and is also a former member of the Board of Education. She has been a taxpayer watchdog for many years, with a focus on lowering taxes and mill rates, to keep Bethel affordable for all residents. She is keyed in to local problems and issues, especially regarding seniors and veterans.
A member of the Independent Party, Cynthia’s business background includes retail marketing and operations, branding, and client development. She has also worked for several area non-profit agencies over the years. Running on a platform of prudent spending, growing local businesses, and complete transparency, Cynthia is a strong leader and believes that elected officials work for the people – not the other way around.
